Question : Some organizations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Others value quality of work above appearance. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Manifold multinational companies employ prolific ploys in order to win the hearts of the new generation, the elite, and of the common folk so that their annual turnover can be augmented and thereby the renown boosted further. Although captivating adverts are a common platform to achieve this end, there are some industrious industrialists who resort to the flamboyant styles and looks of their employees. Nonetheless, I would unhesitantly endorse the modus operandi of another group of entrepreneurs who categorically insist on the quality of work rather than the mere outward appearance of their workforce.

It is indeed an irrefutable fact that the positive spirit from the adage, "work is worship' plays an instrumental role in the CEOs to think that quality of work is more paramount than any other criteria. That is why these executives are always prompted to choose diligent and intelligent candidates to be a part of their team so as to help the firm reap the full benefits. Needless to say, if the company is endowed with the presence of such conscientious personnel, it is a foregone conclusion that they will be in a better position to cope with any thorny issue the enterprise is encountering. Furthermore, the business barons who crave for a spotless image in society will never compromise their pet principles of top quality in their goods and services. Above all, the workers who imbue this attitude of their bosses will put their heart and soul into the work; this unqualified rapport between the employees and employer marks the dawn of a new age, which is conspicuous in congenial conditions for surging production, workers' welfare and nation's progress.

However, the exponents of the 'glamour look’ ideology pontificate that the modish outfits of the employees will do the company the world of good. To elucidate their argument, they vociferously table a litany of its merits. First and foremost, the staff in their neatly dressed attire are able to make an impression among the customers and clients who, consequently, may metamorphose the very destiny of the organization. Secondly, these smartly dressed workers, whether they have white-collar or blue-collar jobs, carry themselves in a graceful way, which will give them an enormous amount of self-esteem to execute their tasks. Ultimately, it paves the way for the firm's enviable achievement. In brief, it is ascertained that the alluring appearance of the employees, coupled with their pleasing demeanour can help the establishment reach the zenith of success.

Whilst synthesizing the aforesaid two diametrically opposite contentions, I would like to reach a consensus: it is proven beyond any speck of skepticism that both the concepts do have their pros and cons. Therefore, the best sine qua non for an organization's peak accomplishment is to accept the good and reject the bad from these two strategies. After all, virtue stands in the middle. Having said that, my staunch support is for the former theory despite the allegation that it is all sheer commercial gimmick.
